happy birthday papa! its 29th june , papa's bdayy. ^^ jie jie bought le an ice-cream cake from swensens.. keke. i din even buy anythin. =x and because we already have no maid , my mother ordered " ting kat " ( catering services ) so that she din have to cook. and the dishes today was horrible.. " taogei " ( beansprout ) and " tao hu " ( beancurd ) . lols! than my papa said , " waah! today my bday , good dishes.. good dishes.. ohhh. GREAT.... today i went to " The Jade " ( my future home ) and i hated it... CHILD WITH NO NAME it was a great joy for my husband , Raymond , and I when out first child , Judy , was born. She grew up to be very pretty and fair. Judy was remarkably intelligent for her age - she was speaking and making herself understood some very disturbing signs soon developed. She started to cultivate an imaginary friend. My husband and i thought it was cute at first , and we did nothing to discourage it. One day i asked little judy what her imaginary friend's name was. she said her friend had no name because the child's parents did not give it a name. I asked her why the child's parents did not give it a name and judy said that they did not want it. i was very annoyed than my daughter had developed such a nasty imagination . i made sure i monitered the TV programs she watched closely. Once , i was with judy in the playground of our Admore Park condominum, i was talking to a neighbour of mine and had turned my back on her for a moment. Next thing i knew , judy had disappeared! i searched frantically for her. eventually , i found her. she had wandered off the grounds of our condo and had somehow gotten onto the busy main road , looking indecisively at the heavy traffic , as if looking for an opputunity to cross. thankfully , i managed to stop her in time because i was sure it would have been fatal if she had attempted the crossing. " Judy , whats the matter with you! " i scolded her. " Its my friend , my friend ask me to go! " she whined. i was really fed up with this " friend " by now. " just who is this friend of yours? describe him to me " " its a girl , mummy. she is two years older than me - and she looks just lyk YOU, " she said. And as the words sank in , my blood froze in my veins. i realised just who the friend oh hers was. It was the child i had aborted two years ago , because my husband and I were not ready to have children at that time. we had just gotten married and we had his career to think about , a child at that time would just have been too much. "" my friend says that this is not a good place , mummy. she wants to take me to a better place , " judy said. out of my fear and confusion , i gave her a slap. " dont you let me hear you talking such rubbish again , you hear? and dont play with that friend again , " i scolded her. judy started crying because she could not understand my anger. i bitterly regretted losing my temper on her. when i told my husband about it , he shrugged it off. " Aiyah , this kind of thing - you deal with it! i got enuf to worry about the stock market the way it is now. " he said , irriatated. he did not realise the seriousness of it at all. he saw how drastic the situation was , though, when little judy got sick. we consulted doctors , specialists - but judy , she was wasting before out eyes. my husband finally accepted the fact that all this was caused by something supernatural, and the natural powers. we consulted a bomoh. we are actually going to consult a chinese temple medium , but none of us spoke chinese. The old bomoh we hired immediately saw what the problem was. he said our child was possesed. he proposed to do a ritual exorcism and spiritual cleasing. but it was a bad time for him to do his malay magic , for it was time of the seventh lunar month - the hungry ghost festival. anyway , the exorcism went very badly . when he started burning incense and reciting his chant in out daughter's room , she started to cough and vomit blood. the bomoh carried on , nonetheless. my husband and i were too grossed out to watch , so we went to the hall. however , when we heard our daughter screaming , we rushed to the room to see what had happened. Judy was thrashing about wildly on her little bed as the bomoh chanted on. Suddenly , she gurgled loudly. she bit her toungue and the blood spouted high in the air , then she swallowed her tongue and her face turned black. my darling little daughter was dead. My husband wanted to sue the bomoh with malay-practice . but our lawyer said that ppl like bomohs dont usually have money to pay. and we would have to cover our own legal costs. in the end we let it drop. it was tragic , really. tragic and horrible. but life goes on. a year later , i was pregnant again. and now , i have a son. he is three years old this year. he said they were both girls - the younger one was called judy and the other one had no name.
